Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your name, email, mobile (if provided by your broker), the documents you upload, and technical information such as IP address and device when you accept this policy.

Why we collect it

To securely collect, check and package documents for your loan application on behalf of your mortgage broker, who is the party responsible for your application.

AI-assisted checking

Uploaded documents are analysed by an automated system to check document type, legibility, expiry dates and name consistency. This is a preliminary assessment only. It does not make credit, identity or lending decisions; your broker performs the final review of every document.

Storage and location

Documents are stored encrypted in Australia. Your broker must keep them for 7 years as required by the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth). Metadata about the application (timestamps, statuses) is retained for audit purposes.

Where checking happens

The preliminary check uses local processing only. The documents themselves are stored in Australia.

Who can see your documents

Your broker's authorised team can view and download the documents for your application. MortgageBuddy platform administrators can see application metadata (names, statuses, timestamps) for support and security, but they cannot open or download the document files. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting your broker or MortgageBuddy. Australian Privacy Principles apply.
